How to choose the right dumpster size.
The right container holds the project waste without creating a placement or weight problem. Start with the job, then use cubic yards as a comparison tool.
1. Define the project
List the rooms or work areas being cleared. A small bathroom, full kitchen, basement renovation, roofing tear-off and estate cleanout produce very different debris.
2. Separate volume from weight
Furniture and cabinet boxes are bulky. Concrete, soil and shingles are dense. A large bin may suit light bulky material, while a smaller designated container can be the safer choice for heavy material.
3. Account for air space
Whole cabinets, long trim and loose cardboard waste capacity. Break down material where it is safe and practical. Do not climb into the container or create unstable stacks.
4. Measure the site
The outside dimensions of bins vary. Measure driveway width and usable length, then look up for wires, branches and eaves. The truck needs a clear approach beyond the footprint of the bin.
5. Leave room for uncertainty
If the scope is not settled, explain the uncertain parts when you call. A good recommendation considers likely extras without automatically moving to the largest container.
Planning a Mississauga bin rental?
Describe the project, material, placement and timing when you call. That produces a more useful recommendation than choosing a container from one photo.
